Founded in 2013 as Kakoa, our brand evolved in October 2016 when it became Krakakoa. Inspired by the volcanic island that once sat on the waters of the Sunda Straits, we wanted to make it clear to the world that our chocolate is proudly Indonesian.
This bar uses Arenga palm sugar from Masarang Foundation which has a lower glycemic index compared to cane sugar. We blend Arenga palm sugar, harvested from the rainforests of Sulawesi, with sustainably grown cocoa, creating delicious chocolate with caramel notes that is also a force for wildlife conservation.
